Kuniki Tabb was born in the town of Smithfield, North Carolina, where she remained until graduating from Smithfield Selma High School. It was there that her desire to write was birthed, and she created short fictional works and poems that she shared with classmates. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor of arts in sociology. Being the single mother of two sons, Kuniki wanted to be able to leave a legacy and has returned to her love of writing, penning her first children’s book, King Kadar’s Heir. Today Kuniki resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her sons, Melvin and Omari.
