About the Author

A third generation Baptist preacher, Dr. David E. Owen was saved at the age of eight, and then God called him to preach when he was thirteen years old. He has had the privilege of pastoring churches in Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia. He has also served for several years as an itinerant evangelist. A native of Brevard, North Carolina, David has had opportunities to preach throughout the southeastern United States as well as overseas. He has also been a contributing writer for several sermon periodicals and a teacher in a couple of Bible college settings. He and his wife Angela have been married since 1988, and they are the parents of two adult sons.
