About the Author

The manuscript titled "The Princess and the Dragon" was completed in February 2012 as a tribute to my Daughter, Cara Marie Manger, currently age seven, with the goal of capturing her spirit and experiences throughout her twenty-seven months undergoing treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The writing is also dedicated to all children who wIll or have lived with serious illness and/or disability. As for myself, I am a native New Yorker. My family and I have lived in the Charleston, South Carolina area for twenty-five years. Retired in 1995 after completing a twenty-one year active duty career in the U.S. Navy. I am currently employed with the U.S. Government as a Federal employee.
