About the Author:

Playwright and novelist Mial Pagan was born in Northern Ireland. He moved to Manchester where he gained a BA degree in Drama and English Literature from Manchester University. 'Thicker Than Water' is the first in a series set in and around the town of Kenmare. The main character, Dermot O'Hara, is loosely based on someone he met during a holiday there. 'Banshee', the second novel in the series is due for publication in Spring 2013. 'Eat More Bloody Meat!' a novel, centred around his time in the advertising industry, is due next year and will be available on Kindle and CreateSpace. His latest play, 'Dancehall Sweethearts' is in development for production at the Abbey Theatre in 2014. Filming of his screenplay, 'Paradise Place', starts in and around London during March 2013.
