Laura Barrett is an illustrator from South East London, specializing in creating intricate and decorative silhouette illustrations and monochrome patterns. Since graduating from University of the Arts London in 2007, she's worked with a variety of international clients in publishing, packaging, surface design, editorial, and animation.

With an emphasis on storytelling and an attention to detail, her illustrations are inspired by the darker side of folk and fairy tales, as well as traditional Scherenschnitte (paper cutting). She studied at University of the Arts London, graduating in 2007. With an emphasis on storytelling, her work is inspired by the darker side of folk and fairy tales, along with traditional Scherenschnitte (paper cutting). Laura has created illustrations for a variety of international clients including Ted Baker, The BBC, The Guardian and Time Inc. Her artwork can be seen in several publications including Taschen's The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm (2011) and Hans Christian Andersen (2013), edited by Noel Daniel.
