John J. Rust was born in Hamilton Township, NJ, where he graduated from Nottingham High School and Mercer County Community College. After receiving a communications degree from the College of Mt. St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY, he worked for New Jersey 101.5 FM before moving to Arizona to become a radio sports reporter and play-by-play announcer. Rust is the author of the military sci-fi book "Dark Wings" and the baseball-themed book "The Best Phillies Team Ever." He has also written several sci-fi short stories.
