This is the second volume of the bestselling annual, Serial Killers True Crime Anthology, a collection of some of the best true crime writing on serial killers over the year. Several of these authors who appeared in Volume 1 of the Anthology, return this year to Volume 2 with new stories. 2015 Serial Killers True Crime Anthology Volume 2: Peter Vronsky in the chilling story "Zebra! The Hunting Humans 'Ninja' Truck Driver Serial Killer" describes the carnage perpetrated in 2007 by Adam Leroy Lane, a long haul truck driving serial killer who after repeatedly watching in his truck cab a serial killer DVD movie he was obsessed with, forayed out in the night from Interstate highway truck-stops dressed in Ninja black to re-enact the movie scenes by killing and mutilating unsuspecting women in their homes until he was captured by a fifteen-year old girl and her parents when he attempted to kill her as she slept in her bedroom. RJ Parker in "Demons" introduces us to the little known story of Canada's serial killer Michael Wayne McGray who murdered men, women and children indiscriminately and whom even prison could not stop from continuing his killing. In the "Grim Sleeper" Parker describes the brutal crimes of Lonnie Franklin, Jr. who over a 23-year killing career, took a fourteen-year hiatus (thus his nickname) before resuming his murders of women in Los Angeles. Katherine Ramsland in "The Babysitter" brings us up to date on the still unsolved horrific1976 mutilation child murders in Detroit that inspired Bill Connington's one-man Broadway play and Joyce Carol Oates 1995 novella Zombie. In "Really! The Other Guy Did It." Ramsland explores the bizarre case of serial killer Douglas Perry who after killing several women underwent a transsexual change into a woman, Donna Perry, who when apprehended, claimed the murders were perpetrated by his former male self who no longer existed. Ramsland asks, "Is guilt in the body or the soul?" Michael Newton in "Bad Medicine" and "Angel of Death" describes two serial killers where we least expect them: health care workers. Physician Dr. Harold Shipman who murdered 250 victims in Britain and might be history's most prolific serial killer, and the smiling mild mannered Ohio medical orderly 'Angel of Death' Donald Harvey, who confessed to murdering 87 helpless patients, stating, "So I played God." Sylvia Perrini, Britain's true crime chronicler of female serial killers in "The House of Horrors" revisits the notorious case of Rosemary West who teamed up with her husband Fred in the rape, torture and murder of ten young women in their rooming house, including her own daughter. In "The Mum Who Killed for Kicks" Perrini looks at the recent case of Joanne Dennehy, a mother of a thirteen-year old who inexplicably went on a thrill kill serial killing spree in which she tortured and murdered three men with a knife and attempted to kill two others. Kelly Banaski, a newcomer to true crime writing, brings us "Stripped of his medals and female panties", the strange case of a Canadian air force base commander, a colonel who piloted senior government officials and even the Queen of England, who suddenly began to commit a series of panty fetish burglaries that eventually escalated to horrific rape-torture murders of women. Enjoy and be horrified!!

We have been killing for thousands of years; in wars and battles, over personal enmities, in a fit of rage and anger,, terrorism and whatnot, the act of killing is perhaps one of the most commonly repeated acts throughout the course of history. However, killing somebody because they wanted to banish their own 'demons' is obviously not a good explanation. It borders on insanity and dementia, yet this is how it is.
A lot of the serial killers that have been caught and interviewed for their actions have stated that the feeling of satisfaction or pleasure that they got from the act of killing was the reason for which they continued killing. Some claim that the fit of anger that it drives them in to is one that they find satisfaction from. However, despite their horrific actions, there are very few serial killers that actually claim to feel any sort of regret and guilt.
In fact, a large majority of the serial killers that are apprehended and put in prison often have to serve a life term. In some countries, such as Ecuador, a life term primarily entails a period of 20 years, which, as you might expect, is not exactly a fair treatment for taking so many lives. In Canada, a life sentence is 25 years, no matter if you killed 3 or 33.
If you were to ever read through police history, you will find that that there have been all sorts of killers. There have been those who would merely kill for the fun of it. Then, there are were those who would kill and keep the remains as a sort of trophy for their actions. There are those who like to terrorize and torture their victims before killing them. There is virtually no limit to the type of killers that you can find by running a simple search through a police database. It borders to the point where there exist such people who first kill, and then eat the dead bodies as well.
Throughout the annals of history, you can read instances of some of the most horrific crimes committed by man. As mentioned, these men have very little to no remorse for what they are doing. If you were to look at their faces, seldom would you find them looking disheveled or worries. These are people who accept their fate and don't consider for a moment that they are doing something wrong. The horrific nature of their actions does not dawn upon them, even after they have been found, captured and convicted. Almost all serial killers that have been caught throughout the course of history have exhibited sociopathic behavior, which means that they avoid going out in to areas where a lot of people move about. These people also try to avoid meeting with others, and moving about in public places. Instead, most of the serial killers search for their preys from the shadows. They seek opportunities where their victims might be found alone, before attacking.
The perception that most people have of the people of Canada is that they are peaceful people who love helping others and sharing happiness. And, for most part, they are right. The people of Canada are a joy to be with, or at least, most of them. They'll help strangers, and they will also be wiling to go the extra mile for people they actually care about. They are extremely apologetic if something goes wrong, and try their best to make up for anything as best as they can. Yet, no country can be regarded as a perfect country. There are flaws in each and every one of us, and this case is no different. What you are about to read is the heinous story of a man who single-handedly decided the fates of more than 18 individuals.
This is the story of Michael Wayne McGray, as well as his horrific actions which resulted in the death of more than 18 people. To this day, Michael Wayne McGray is regarded as the worst serial killer in the history of Canada, and even when he had been jailed in prison, his killing did not stop.
