About the Author

A G Hill was born on an RAF base and moved a lot during his childhood. He never liked school due to bullying and being hopeless at maths, so when he left school rather abruptly at the age of 15 without qualifications, he vowed never to step into a school again.

In 1979  AG entered a Bible college near Sheffield and gained the qualifications he missed at school. He also learned the skills of story-telling, something he had loved doing when a child.
In 1985, he joined  the London City Mission and one of the first things he was asked to do was speak in a school, re-telling a Bible story with a puppet. Invitations to speak at other schools soon followed and eventually, he became a full-time school worker teaching and advising on the RE curriculum. In addition to telling Bible stories, he created many stories of his own.
When a prolonged period of ill health forced him out of work in 2002, he turned a disappointment into an opportunity by writing this, his first novel.
He now lives in Aberdeen, Scotland with his wife and an ever growing collection of classical music, film soundtracks and books.
