Tampa's architecture is quite diverse and reflects the city's history and ethnic culture. Depending upon the part of the city you are visiting, the architecture can vary widely. While the downtown boasts a modern skyline, reflecting Tampa's commitment to its economic future, Tampa's oldest neighborhood, Hyde Park, is full of beautiful Arts and Crafts style, early 20th-century bungalow homes and businesses. The buildings in Tampa's Ybor City neighborhood reflect the area's Spanish-Cuban roots with their balconies decorated with iron lace and hacienda-style facades. In my previous work I presented you how the cigar industry grew and helped in the development of the city, and the region with their problems and accomplishments. In this new work I present you the architecture as a result prior, during and after the influence of the cigar industry. I present you some of the many structures that are silent witnesses of our past. From cigar factories, public buildings and private structures their individual history and their creators. As a historian and researcher I found their background very important and interesting to be overlook, therefore this book is dedicated to "Cigar City Architecture and Legacy..."
