Each angel is assigned a different task to be completed by Christmas Eve. One assignment involves an elderly man facing death who does not want to leave his wife to cope for herself. Another situation involves a lonely young woman who believes love will never come her way again. The last story is about a boy who desperately wants a dog his parents cannot afford. Burr creates apt characterizations. This delightful book has a light yet tender Christmas atmosphere and a satisfying end.
