About the Author
Vibert Muhammad is a faculty member in the History Department at the University of Central Florida. He is the premier scholar on the Nation of Islam and Islam among people of African diaspora. His research has explored traditional and new schools of Islamic dogma throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. In addition, Professor Muhammad is a public historian who specializes in archeological history. His works has been shown on PBS, BBC, the History Channel, Discovery and several major networks such as NBC, ABC and CBS. His scholarship also ranges intro Afro-Latino Cultural History, Constitutional and Legal History and Labor and Social History and African religions in the Americas. In addition, he is the author of hundreds of articles and the academic best seller," Inside the Nation of Islam". Dr. Muhammad has served as a minister in the Nation of Islam and currently serves as a prison Imam under the Ministry of Al-Islam and the Islamic Society of Central Florida, Orlando.
