From the Author

I love Dickens' Christmas Carol, and I wanted to create a uniquely American version.  And by "America," I mean everything from the Bering Strait to Tierra del Fuego.
Teachers tell me their Latino students especially love this book as they can really relate to the story of the Mexican immigrant Emilio Scrooge, and his adventures with Coyote, Mariposa, Venado, and La Llorona.  They also have remarked that the boys really love this book, which was a goal of mine.

About the Author

Malcolm MacDonald is a writer, artist and Latino Wannabe from the village of La Cañada. While teaching in Mexico, he wrote the award-winning play Coyote’s Christmas Carol, which continues to be performed throughout the world. This is his first children’s book.
