Rebuilding is not an option. The world has ended. The few unlucky survivors live in armed camps scattered across the bleak English countryside. Foraging parties roam the ruined cities in search of food and supplies, sifting through the ashes and the useless wreckage of civilisation. Deep in the heart of East Anglia, one crew hits the jackpot; a huge treasure trove of provisions hoarded from before the days of the Breakdown. But who does it belong to and where are they now? And can they resist the temptation to double cross their friends and families in the camp back home? And can they resist the temptation to double cross each other?

I was born in the days before the internet and mobile phones in a suburb of Norwich, England. My father was a printer and my mother was a housewife, already raising my older brother. I spent my early years in Cheltenham after my father's job was transferred but the family moved back to Norfolk before I went to high school. I left school with few qualifications after my indifference to learning was matched only by my teachers indifference to teaching. I went into office work, where I have held more low grade jobs than I can possibly remember. I quit in the summer of 2000 to travel across the eastern half of the United States, hopping Greyhound buses and moving from bar to 'interesting' bar. After a decade of seemingly unrelated health problems, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in June 2012. A strict, non-gluten diet has eliminated nearly all of my symptoms but left me unable to drink beer. I began writing as something to do with all the resulting free time. Fantasy epic 'Vagabond Sky' is the first product of this new career, although I have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pen. I have also co-authored the short film 'Ticketer' with Martin Ballantyne, whose acting credits include 'The Dark Knight' and 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.' Filming on this project was completed in November 2013 with a cast that included Jill Greenacre ('The Brittas Empire') and John Chapman ('Star Wars').
