About the Author:
Chef Ron Lock was born in Racine, Wisconsin and started his culinary adventures at age 5, assisting his mother in preparing and creating recipes for his family. Besides his mother, he also cites his early culinary influences came from watching early food TV personalities Julia Child, Graham Kerr and Justin Wilson. After a tour of duty with the US Air Force, Chef Ron started exploring his independent culinary roots by planning and catering events for his network of friends and co-workers. He also became a kitchen “stage” in a friend’s family restaurant. Moving to Florida in the 1990’s, Chef Ron soon opened his catering business, “CRL Catering” while working full time for a prominent office supply company in their corporate headquarters. After being laid off by the office supply company, Chef Ron’s catering business went full time which he still works today. In 2004, Chef Ron embarked on a personal goal and enrolled in a local culinary arts program and received his degree in Culinary Arts. It was his ambition to become an accredited chef. Chef Ron is also currently CEO of “NoRock Productions, LLC”, which houses all of his culinary ventures and the name “Chef Ron Lock ™” which is under trademark application with registration completed later in 2015. Chef Ron has created two cooking shows. “The Chuckwagon Cowboy” in 2011 and “The Chef Ron Lock Show” in 2014. A new cooking show under development, “Get Cookin’ with Chef Ron Lock” will debut in the summer of 2015. Besides his love for the culinary life, Chef Ron also enjoys hiking, camping, motorcycles, fishing, gardening, working out and the company of his family and friends.
