Cyclist Steve Greene has called the central Oregon Coast home for more than 20 years, and is intimately familiar with Oregon Coast Highway 101 from the Columbia River to the California border. Steve is a recumbent rider, opting for the added comfort for overland journeys. He is the author of three other books discussing the ins and outs of long haul cycle touring, and brings this expertise to bear in this book, as he describes what to expect on the famous Oregon Coast Bike Route, 383 miles ridden by thousands of cyclists every season. The OCBR offers many challenges, and with this book, you will have an excellent idea of what lies ahead for your own trek! Steve takes his cycling seriously, as it has replaced his ownership and use of the petroleum powered automobile. He has been oil-free since 2008.
