Bishop Ida Robinson (1891-1946) only lived fifty-five years, but her spiritual legacy still continues to this today. Led by the Holy Spirit, Ida founded Mount Sinai Holy Church of America Inc. in an effort to give female preachers equal standing with their male counterparts. She was consecrated as a bishop in 1924, and by the time she died there were more than eighty Mount Sinai churches planted across the United States, Cuba, and South America.

She holds degrees from Cheyney University and the University of Pennsylvania and worked for over thirty-five years in the Philadelphia public school system. Passionate about providing children with fun educational experiences, she has also enjoyed working with children in her local church and community as well as at the national youth convention for Mt. Sinai Holy Church of America Inc. The Story of Ida Robinson is McIver’s first book.
