Synopsis
Like everyone else on the station platform that hazy November afternoon, Philip Tethering was thinking about death. But that was death past and gone, the death of all those men killed in the Great War. He never expected to go into the waiting room now, in a world at peace, and find the body of a murdered woman there. The victim is a respectable working woman, with no apparent quarrel with anyone. And when her son is accused of the murder Philip is drawn into trying to prove his innocence and find the real killer. Set squarely in East Kent, this is a whodunnit in the old tradition, cosy crime at its best.

About the Author
Pamela Godden lived in Dover with her husband and two cats, before she died in 2015. She had two grown-up children, and loved her local church. Pamela spent her time in the old-fashioned pursuit of reading and wrote books for the enjoyment of other people who do the same. Her work includes historical fiction and murder mysteries.
