Synopsis

Dr. Milton Merriweather, an aging physics professor at Indiana University, is finishing out the last semester of his last year of teaching before retiring. He and his wife Prudence live in a small farmhouse in the nearby town of Ellettsville, some nine miles from the university campus in Bloomington where they plan to spend their golden years together. One evening after Milton returns from a lecture at the university, something in his reflection in the mirror, which he had seen countless times before, suddenly catches his attention. He begins to contemplate, for the first time in his nearly seventy years of life, why images in the mirror are always in reverse. This compels the fastidious old professor to embark on the development of an astounding hypothesis. Over the course of several weeks he pursues the possibility that mirrors simply reflect the fact that both time and all elements of the universe are moving in reverse rather than forward in motion. What follows is a unique look at the universe from an entirely different perspective than what physics, astronomy and secular science has ever taught in the past. A past that, from the perspective of professor Merriweather’s hypothesis, is one we are continually traveling back into until its ultimate conclusion… going back to ‘In the beginning’ of Genesis chapter one, verse one of the Bible. About the Author

Born and raised in the Midwestern city of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Darrell's writing talents gained early recognition as he became a finalist in a national songwriting competition paneled by lyricist Hal David of the Hal David and Burt Bacharach songwriting team, Tommy Smothers of the Smothers Brothers and 1960's era poster and album cover artist Peter Maxx. Throughout his youth, Darrell spent most of his summer vacations with family relatives in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Those vacation times brought him a lifelong fascination and love for southern culture, as well as southern style Christianity following his conversion to Christ in 1971. In the years that followed, Darrell became a psychiatric services professional and then a musical comedy entertainer, beginning his second career at Dollywood. He performed all over America in addition to recording several comedy and music albums. Following semi-retirement from the entertainment field, he began writing a number of novels, primarily with Christian themes. With plans for further literary works, Darrell's book writing ventures promise to be a great addition to his songwriting, recording and country comedy entertainment.
