Synopsis
Ten-year-old James and his seven-year-old sister, Mandy, are off to summer camp with their loyal German shepherd, Rosco.
While Mandy struggles with homesickness, James’s week is threatened by a prank-playing bunk mate whose antics keep causing trouble.
But as camp activities lead up to the biggest event of the week—the giant game of capture-the-flag—things take a serious turn during an unexpected thunderstorm. When the troublemaker ends up lost and alone in the woods, Rosco must come to the rescue.
Along the way, James, Mandy, and Rosco learn that camp is about more than fun and games—it’s also about courage, teamwork, and the hard-earned lessons of friendship.

About the Author
Shana Gorian, originally from western Pennsylvania, lives in southern California with her husband, two children, and her German shepherd, the real Rosco the Rascal. Shana spent many memorable summers at sleep-away camp as a child and later as a camp counselor. She loves telling stories about those good 'ol days.
