About the Author

The author, Alejandra Martínez Flores, immigrated to the United States with her husband, Ramón Flores. This is the story of their life together. Alejandra is a retired garment worker living in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. Although she did not have an opportunity to go to school, she is an avid writer of poems and short stories. She spends most of her free time in her beautiful garden.
