Rick and Scotty travel to Egypt and discover that an apparently unassuming cat figurine holds an incredible secret.
Rick Brant and his pal, Scotty, have the kind of adventures all boys would like to have. They live on an island called Spindrift where Rick's father heads a group of scientists working in the field of electronics. Here and abroad, the boys encounter many thrilling adventures and solve many baffling mysteries.
The Rick Brant Science Adventure series was published by Grosset and Dunlap from 1947 through 1968. The series is also known as the Rick Brant Electronic Adventures and the Rick Brant Science-Adventure Stories. The series was written by Peter J. Harkins and Harold Goodwin under the pseudonym of John Blaine. Harkins and Goodwin co-wrote the first three titles, and Goodwin wrote the rest of the series himself. The Rick Brant series had a scientific tone, the science in the stories was realistic science, unlike the fantastic and futuristic science of Tom Swift, Jr.
