About the Author

Michael Erlewine was co-founder of the Prime Movers Blues Band along with his brother Daniel in 1965. Their drummer was a young Iggy Pop. The band was well-known in the Midwest and opened for “Cream” in 1967 at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco during the “Summer of Love.” Erlewine went on to found the “All-Music Guide (AllMusic.com), the largest music data site on the Internet. Erlewine has published many books on music, the blues, rock, and jazz.
