About the Author:

A graduate of the University of New Mexico with degrees in Earth and naval science, Captain Glenn Lowell Anderson moved on to an impressive naval aviation career earning his wings in 1976, serving with an S-3 Viking squadron aboard the USS Enterprise in the Western Pacific, taking on the role of standards manager for the navy’s T-39 Sabreliner program, and working as an air combat tactics instructor flying the A-4 Skyhawk. Captain Anderson began his career at Southwest Airlines after leaving the navy and earning his Boeing 737 captain’s type rating.

Anderson retired from Southwest Airlines in 2012 after thirty-one years of service and over 25,000 hours of flight time. Passionate about flying and restoring World War II aircraft, he resides in San Pedro, New Mexico, with his wife, Vicki, who worked as a Southwest flight attendant for twenty-four years.

They are blessed with four children and eight grandchildren.
