Synopsis

In 2014, Congress had an approval rating of 13%. Yet, in November of that same year, over 96% of Congressional representatives were reelected. Why can’t the citizens elect new representatives they truly believe in who could begin correcting our nation’s course? Because the system is rigged. The untold truth is that small groups of local establishment operatives guided by the invisible hand of self-interest and corruption have taken control of our country’s candidate selection process. They use this process to serve their own self-interests rather than uphold and protect the people’s liberty. This has co-opted the citizen’s ability to advance principled representatives to public office and to hold government accountable. But the good news is, this problem can be solved. Doing so requires fewer people, less time, less money, and less effort than protesting, boycotting, rallying, writing letters to the editor, or begging current elected officials to do the right thing. This book is written primarily for an Ohio audience and focuses on how citizens in the state can use the “central committee” process to take the political parties back from the crony establishment.
