Synopsis

For many years, residents flocked to this tiny, idyllic town of Vista Point on California’s golden coastline, looking to escape the many pitfalls of big city life. A couple of weeks later, when the infamous Lovers Bluffs becomes the setting of another brutal murder, Robert and Jamison must battle the incessant media and dwindling support from the town’s citizens to bring the young girl’s killer to justice. With a clean site and no witnesses, the Detectives struggle to figure out who would want to murder this beautiful, innocent victim. In search for the truth, friendships are tested and families are torn apart as deep layers of secrets and lies are uncovered. Will the Detectives be able to redeem themselves and repair the damage created, or will it be too little, too late?

About the Author:

Growing up, Avni has always been known for her wild imagination. After a simple creative writing exercise in her fifth grade English class, Avni’s passion for the written word grew exponentially. Since that day, she has dabbled in short stories, flash fiction and poetry spanning many genres. However, when she began her quest to publish her first novel, she chose a genre she has always been drawn to: Mysteries. When she’s not advising students at her day job as an Associate Director for the Evening & Weekend MBA Proram at UC Berkeley, she spends her time at coffee shops all across the Bay Area, perfecting her craft. Avni is a lifelong student, continuously striving to improve. Living in the east Bay Area, she is an active member of a local writer’s group called Shut Up and Write, providing her the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from fellow writers. She has also successfully completed a variety of online classes focused on fiction writing. Avni holds a Bachelors in Psychology and Social Behavior as well as an MBA from UC Irvine.
