Miltiadis D. Lytras is Associate Professor at Deree- ACG with a research focus on semantic web, knowledge management and e-learning, with more than 100 publications. He has co-edited more than 45 special issues in International Journals (IEEE Transaction on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Internet Computing, IEEE Transactions on Education, Computers in Human Behaviour, Interactive Learning Environments, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Computer Assisted Learning) and has authored/(co-)edited 42 books (e.g., Open Source for Knowledge and Learning Management, Ubiquitous and Pervasive Knowledge Management, Intelligent Learning Infrastructures for Knowledge Intensive Organizations, Semantic Web Based Information Systems, China Information Technology Handbook, Real World Applications of Semantic Web and Ontologies, Web 2.0: The Business Model, etc.). Linda Daniela - Dr.paed., is the professor and senior researcher at the University of Latvia; Chair of the Council for Promotion in Pedagogy of the University of Latvia; Head of the Scientific Institute of Pedagogy; Expert of Education at the Council of Sciences of the Republic of Latvia. Her research interests include virtual education, smart education, educational technologies for learning, educational robotics, educational processes and solutions for reducing social exclusion from the educational processes. Professor is an author and co-author of publications about processes in all dimensions of education. She has been involved in several projects, she is an editor and co-editor of several books and journals, and she is a scientific adviser for doctoral and master thesis.
Anna Visvizi is a political scientist and economist, editor and research consultant with extensive experience in academia and the think-tank sector in Europe and the US. The author of more than 70 published works, she presented her work in many forums across Europe and the US, including Capitol Hill. A former DAAD fellow, former Marie Curie fellow, she was also awarded fellowships to conduct research at the London School of Economics and the New York University. A practiced team-worker, researcher, analyst and lecturer, her expertise spans four interrelated areas of research, i.e., the political economy of economic integration, including the EU and the euro area crisis as well as nascent integration schemes in emerging markets; international business; economy and security in Central Europe; and global safety, security and sustainable growth and development. Dr. Visvizi participated in several collaborative research projects funded by the European Commission under Framework Programs, incl. FP5, FP6, FP7; by the Polish National Centre for Science (NCN); Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Faculty Resource Network (FRN); International Visegrad Fund (IVF), and other. Dr. Visvizi presented her academic work in more than 100 international conferences, while at the same time contributing to the global policy-debate through her participation in such events as CEPA Annual Forum 2016, Bled Strategic Forum 2016 and other high-level formats of political discussion and debate in Europe and in the US.
