About the Author

Sunny Lynn Worel worked independently as a Medical Information Specialist starting in 2002. She specialized in online data literature searches of biomedical data bases. She earned her B.S. degrees in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of Minnesota in 1990. She received her Masters of Library and Information Science in 1996 from Dominican University/College of St. Catherine and was a senior member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP). She belonged to the Medical Library Association (MLA) and the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP). She successfully combined her work over the last 15 years of her life with her passion for her search for Hedvig (Sammy) Samuelson, her great aunt. Sunny died in 2014. Her mother, Janet V. Worel, published this timeline posthumously on her behalf.
