Every airplane is equipped with a manual explaining the operations and limitations of the aircraft, along with recommended maintenance. Every instrument installed in the plane has its own instruction manual, as well. But what about the most important feature of any cockpit—the pilot?
Written in a manner that looks at the body as a machine in need of proper care and maintenance, this informative guidebook will keep you in the left seat for life.
Author Jacqueline Brunetti, MD, is uniquely qualified to present this handbook for pilot health. As a pilot and an FAA senior aviation medical examiner, she is very familiar with the health issues faced by pilots. Additionally, Dr. Brunetti is board certified in integrative medicine, providing an approach to health that’s both preventive and holistic.
Several conditions relating to heart health will result in denial of medical certification. Pilot’s Operating Handbook for Health focuses primarily on demystifying coronary heart disease because it is linked to other disease states, including obesity, diabetes, and cancer and gives a clear understanding of how lifestyle modifications can lower your risk.
But it’s not just for pilots—this must-have manual is for anyone interested in learning how to prevent coronary heart disease.
