About the Author:

ANTOINE DE DE SAINT EXUPERY (*1900–†1944), el autor de EL PRINCIPITO, fue un aviador y literato franc�s que s�lo vivi� escasos 44 a�os. Naci� en Lyon, en 1900 y falleci� en 1944. En realidad, nunca se supo que ocurri� con �l. Saint-Exup�ry desapareci� para siempre en una misi�n de reconocimiento, cuando sobrevolaba la Francia ocupada por los nazis, durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Saint- Exup�ry comenz� escribiendo en prosa l�rica vivencias de car�cter novelesco y, posteriormente, continu� con diarios, informes y cartas. Sus textos son consecuencia de reflexiones profundas de �ndole humanista y de cr�tica a la cultura. Entre sus novelas sobresalen VUELO NOCTURNO y EL CORREO DEL SUR. Como diario dio vida a PILOTO DE GUERRA. Pero su obra m�s famosa y por la que ha trascendido es EL PRINCIPITO, un cuento largo que en formato de libro ha batido r�cords de venta en el mundo y en todos los idiomas desde 1943, a�o en que se public� por primera vez en franc�s.
