Review

Students who are truly interested in understanding the present digitalized society would be lost in its complexities without the help and support of the most experienced analyst of qualitative material, David Silverman. His textbooks adapt and evolve in tact with global developments and should be read by faculty and students from all social science domains.

The best practical guide to doing qualitative research just became even better with this new edition, which adds insight into using Mixed Method designs as well as exploring the potentialities of digital data and smartphones as data collection devices. Theoretically informed, practically oriented and engagingly composed, this book beats the others hand down!
