Synopsis

Be valiant in dedicating your feats, then celebrate with beer and juniper gin. Become drunk while flourishing, and then center yourself as you breathe tranquility Appease that gnarly being, soothe it gently and understand that flamboyancy is the art of extreme self-expression. Use it openly but don’t be arrogant. Just know that audacity is paradise! Audacity Is Paradise is Cesar's second poetry anthology.

About the Author

Cesar Moran Cahusac is an ecologist, peace advocate and martial artist whose poetry weaves an expansive range of exotic, sensual and surprising life experiences into a dance of verbal refinement. From pig farmer to poet, from Sensei to CEO, from dreamer to truth-seeker, a man without energy and enthusiasm, he certainly is not. After gaining a master's degree from the Yale School of Forestry, Cesar returned to his native Peru to lead the Amazon Conservation Association, an international NGO spanning three countries: the United States, Bolivia and Peru. He also led programs to help Peru's Ministry of Culture fine tune its preservation of World Heritage Sites like Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail. Most recently, Cesar joined a mediation group working to bring peace to the decades-long civil conflict in Colombia, and he was invited to give presentations on how to live a more harmonious life at the World Climate Summit in Lima, Peru. Cesar is a third-degree black belt in Aikido, a Japanese martial art known as "The Way of Peace," and the students at his dojo in Cusco, Peru, lovingly know him "Sensei." He is also an avid practitioner of modern dance, and much of his poetry is inspired by the fluidity of motion experienced through different modes of physical artistry. Poetry has long served Cesar as a syncretic medium through which he can refine the diversity of his experience into a singularly focused work of artistic expression.
