Jamie Johnston was born and grew up in Los Angeles, living between the worlds of 
old and new Hollywood. Her father was actor and recording star Johnny Johnston, whose 
starring role in 1956's Rock Around the Clock made her a bona fide Rock and Roll baby with a pedigree.
 
In 1972, fresh out of high school, Jamie and her songwriting partner Sandy, known as 
The Skiffles, made quiet history by being signed to Beatles' producer George Martin, and 
released a single on the Beatles first label, Parlaphone. They were one of the first female rock bands to get a major record deal, playing their own instruments and writing their own songs.
 
            Jamie went on to study acting with the illustrious Lee Strasberg, appeared in several films and theatre productions and worked in voice overs for years.
 
            She now resides in the mountains of Idyllwild, CA.
