Tarot Deck. Condition: Near Fine. This is a previously owned Tarot set including the 78 cards and a title card, a little white book bound as a small paperback with illustrated cover, and a small reproduction of one of the cards (the Ace of Coral) as a kitchen magnet, all in an illustrated box. The cards are in excellent condition, with a smooth finish; the book is crisp and clean; the magnet bears a little very light surface wear; the box shows some shallow scratches and pressure marks, but is overall well-kept. Major arcana cards feature fantastical and dreamlike figures that push the boundaries of traditional tarot iconography. Suits are Sparks (Wands), Coral (Cups), Wings (Swords) and Spirals (Discs); court cards are Dreamer, Trail, Queen, and King. Ace cards show a blindfolded figure whose eyes are uncovered in the corresponding 10 cards of the same suit; and pip cards are drawn in a sketchbook style, with the suggestion of stream-of-consciousness drawings or doodles that often include handwritten evocative phrases or short poems.
