Cemeteries form an integral part of the sources relied upon by genealogists for information about their ancestors. Success in identifying your ancestors comes when proven paths are followed. In this Research Guide, you will learn how to prepare for a trip to the cemetery and what to do once you get there. Topics such as tombstone readings, sextons' records, burial permits, family and private cemeteries, church graveyards, municipal cemeteries, military burials, and even the unburied will be discussed.   You will learn how to use the top Internet sources as well as lesser-known websites which provide death and burial information that may prove helpful to your family history research. Extensive bibliographies and a tombstone timeline are also included.
