From the Author

I am incredibly proud and particularly delighted with my first book "So You've Retired: A Practical Guide For Your Happy Retirement", which I wrote in the months after my own retirement began. It has been a lifelong ambition to publish my own book, seeing my name on the cover is a dream come true!

In writing "So You've Retired" I wanted to offer some light hearted help, support, and at times humor for those starting (or about to start) their retirement. When I began writing the book I had some of my own first hand experience to draw upon, as well as input from several of my good friends who retired several years earlier than me.

As I was approaching my own retirement I received some excellent advice: that I may want to think about how I plan to use my time, stay active and with a positive frame of mind once I stop working. I've always been a social and active person, and it was important to me to have things to look forward to, and be prepared. So I made lists of things I would do, and plans to sort through the clutter in my own home that I'd accumulated over the years. I even made a bucket list of my own!

If I can help just one person with their transition into retirement with my book then I will be a very happy lady.
