Synopsis

"When they have mourned him with such lamentations" said Jordanes in his Getica account of Attila's death and burial, he describes the gold, silver, iron linings of his casket and the complex burial ceremony, which ends in the killing of all eyewitnesses and the flooding of his grave from a temporarily diverted river. For fifteen hundred years, archeologists, fortune hunters, curious individuals and Attila nuts, have scoured Hungary between the rivers the Danube and the Tisza. Legends abound not only about the whereabouts of Attila's grave, but about the mighty sword found by a shepherd boy and given to him by the God of the Scythians to enable him to become the mighty conqueror of Europe and Asia.
A CIA agent and passionate collector of rare swords, Steve Buday embarks on a dangerous assignment to locate a cache of uranium lost by the Germans at the end of WWII, and sought by a modern-day terrorist army to be used for building a dirty bomb. By chance, the suspected location of the uranium and the on-going archeological dig by noted Attila researcher, archeologist, beautiful Dr. Ildiko Vertes, happen to coincide. Steve is bound by his duty to beat the terrorists to the cache, he is drawn by the magic of Attila’s sword, and attracted by the beauty of Ildiko. He ends up finding more than he bargained for.
