Synopsis
In the third novel of the series, Siblings George and Maria find themselves outside of the zone following the impact. From different parts of the country they each witness the slow motion catastrophe that is a nuclear winter. Struggling to survive as it all falls apart, they soon regret not staying in Tucson.
