About the Author

Elizabeth Rizzo Dubois met Rusty Warren in 1982 at Chuckles Comedy Club in Tempe, Arizona after Rusty’s comedy performance with Elayne Boosler, another comedian. If anyone would have told Liz that her life had changed that evening when she met Rusty; she would not have believed it. Liz had never seen or heard the comedy of Rusty Warren, but divine intervention had its hand in the serendipitous life events that followed. Liz and Rusty’s journey together for over 35 years led to the publishing of this book. Liz formerly owned a country restaurant in the pines of Northern California, where she created recipes and made gourmet lollipops. She lived there with her beloved dog Buddy who was another inspiration for this book and Rusty’s grand-dog. Thanks to Rusty’s influence Liz was invited on "Cooking with Rita Davenport" show in Phoenix, Arizona making her lollipops which started her career in the culinary world. Liz has a Master’s Degree in Administration of Justice and was co-producer of “Dogs Are Healers” on Olelo TV in Hawaii. She is a feature writer for Oceanic Time Warner Cable penning restaurant reviews. She is an animal rights activist and resides in Hawaii. She is the expert on Rusty Warren’s career history having been the only other person besides Rusty to read every article published from Rusty’s career spanning over 50 years.
