Do the success, satisfaction, and quality-of-life you seek remain elusive? Does your mind seem to betray you at crucial moments? Are you sabotaging yourself because of problematic thought patterns? Would you like to do something about it? In these pages, the author addresses this unique and formidable challenge. Utilizing foundational aspects of ancient Stoic wisdom, contemporary psychological understanding, time-tested-and-proven techniques, and an accessible approach aided by illustrative narration as well as the insights of certain clear-eyed travelers who have gone before us--Einstein, Locke, Goethe, Viktor Frankl, Carl Sagan, Nelson Mandela, and others--he draws upon broad experience as both teacher and mental health practitioner to provide veteran guidance on this journey of the mind. Whether you hope to achieve important goals, alleviate depression or anxiety, manage anger or stress, improve relationships, navigate a difficult life transition, or succeed in some other endeavor, "Check Your Reality" details step by step how to overcome even the most towering and pervasive mental obstacles by harnessing the power of your thoughts!
