Dr. Donald B. Colson was raised in Boston, Massachusetts, and worked for thirty-three years at the Menninger Clinic, conducting individual and group psychotherapy, doing research, and teaching. He went on to operate a private practice in Kansas City, Kansas, focusing on group and individual therapy and psychoanalysis. He is also the author of "A Patient's Guide to Psychotherapy: and an overview for Students and Beginning Therapists." He has three grown children, four grandchildren, and one on the way.
