Chris Visser started his working career assembling high-tech equipment for various industries, such as medical devices and semi-conductors. Curious by nature, he explored intuitively and on a small-scale process improvements. Searching for ways to do things quicker and better without compromising on quality. Sometimes he succeed, and sometimes he did not. Nevertheless, he always learned something. When joining a company that used 8D problem solving for their customer complaints, he became familiar with the concept of structural process improvement. Working on a day-to-day basis with suppliers, logistics, developers, sales representatives and customers, he learned that process improvement is in the detail of understanding the problem’s failure mechanism. This triggered a decade of training and studying on the subject of process improvement. While being trained as a six sigma black belt and executing his first of many improvement projects, he truly started to combine his natural passion for improving with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful. To complete his skillset, Chris followed master study in quality- and change management that allowed him to grasp the different dynamics of process improvement even further. Today, he does what he loves doing the most – helping the companies he works for to improve their products and processes to satisfy the need of their customers and employees. Whether he does this in the role as a trainer or consultant, or by actually driving the improvements leading a team of experts is all the same to him. As long as there is something to improve.
