She holds a degree in education and a Master’s in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin. She has worked for many years as a librarian near her home town of Appleton, Wisconsin. She is the mother of two grown children who have provided her with a lot of material for her novels. Kathy loves reading, long walks, bicycling, Motown music, horses, dogs, and writing. She grew up to be a librarian and write cozy mysteries because as a child, her favorite game was Clue and her favorite solution was Miss Scarlett in the library with the candlestick . She owns a race red Mustang with six on the floor named Scarlett, and she is at work on the plot of the next Rhi Nolan novel.
