About the Author
Joe Pomerenke was born on his father's family farm outside of Marshall, Missouri, and became fascinated by architecture when his family made trips to Springfield, Kansas City, and St. Louis. He saw great buildings as symbols of hope, progress, and ambition. If others could dream that big, Joe could also. The dream eventually led him to Chicago and a job with ARCO/Murray National Construction Company. There he discovered the design-build process, which he and several college friends together with business colleagues employed to contribute to the growth of the ARCO Family of Companies.
