Sister 2 Sister is a ladies' devotional collection designed to inspire your heart and deepen your love for God's Word.
Debbie Lavender's passion is mentoring women. From speaking at women’s retreats to teaching Sunday School for over 25 years, she has used her gifts to remind women that a life lived faithfully studying God’s Word is a life lived to its fullest.

Sister, I am hoping that this series of devotional thoughts will be a blessing to you. They are designed to be used as either a personal devotional study or as a Bible Study or Sunday School series. I have included questions to help you understand the Biblical lesson that is being taught in each chapter. The different lessons have been written over many years and through many stages of my life. As Scripture says, "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places." (Psalm 16:6) I've had a wonderful life, but not without its difficulties.
A Sister 2 Sister is often inspired by a Sunday School lesson I just taught or by a life situation I am going through. We all have our smooth places, our low places, and our high places. As your sister in Christ, I just want to encourage you in the Lord. Don't be discouraged; be encouraged in the Lord. Circumstances change...always. Life gets hard...almost always. Let's not forget all the blessings along the way. God gives us whatever it takes to shape us into His image.
My heart's desire in writing Sister 2 Sister is to get you into the Word of God to learn from its depth of richness! Surely, we would not want to go through life without the Word of God guiding us. Psalm 36:9 says, "For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light."
