This book started as a chapter in my first book, Master the Matrix.  That chapter took on a life of it's own and eventually a course of it's own at University Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.  The course, and the hundreds of amazing experienced leaders who have participated in it, validated my basic premise of how influence without authority happens and made the content come alive--first in the classroom, and now in book form.Don't expect a lot of concepts or grandiose platitudes.  This book is a quick, pragmatic read.  You will read that last page and you'll stop wishing for more authority and just get out there and influence.  Your approach will be different, more deliberate, more "other-focused."
