This is a thoughtful book. It is obviously the result of a great deal of work. And I congratulate you not only on its execution but also on its conception. Having written a book that touches on problem-solving in the context of design thinking, I appreciate very much the way you have reworked the literature on problem-solving and design thinking for a more socio-economic focus. This strikes me as very welcome. 

I was, however, left with one large question. Namely, who defined these problems and are these problems that have actually been solved in this way you describe? The factual basis of the problem descriptions was not clear to me. Perhaps I missed it. Are these your problems and solutions? Or do they have a well-defined literature supporting them, whether in economics, sociology, or elsewhere?

I also believe that your assertions about problem-solving would be more powerful if their basis were made clear. Your bibliography is very brief, and there are many more references to your own work than to anyone else's. While your work is clearly impressive, the reader may well want to know where else these ideas come from and to what extent your position differs from that of other authors.

Given that the book is lengthy, I cannot claim to have examined it in great detail, and it is largely outside the scope of my expertise. But I do admire what you have created.

I think the discovery ofhidden opportunities in this book is very relevant to "chance discovery" wedeveloped in the early 2000's. The approaches may differ as in CD we started from datavisualization, while in Re-Inventing Our Lives is based on the field projects, but the structure of the methodology may be relevant. It may beinteresting to communicate.
