Using the weapons of parody, fantasy, and the dreamscape of psychological horror, Mr. Rubenstein tries to make sense of the roots of racism and prejudice in America. He is proud that his first novel, Ghost Runners, was included in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum library.
Currently, Mr. Rubenstein teaches a course at Touro College for graduating seniors in advanced topics: the psychology of racism. A retired teacher and evaluator of children with special needs, Rob swims three or four times a week, travels frequently to the Southwest, and likes being a minority among the Native Americans.
