This book was written for all men who could benefit from a little inspiration in expressing written words of love to their wives. The notes presented in this book were written to my wife over a span of time out of my belief that love without enactment is merely a word. Without deliberate intentions to keep love lively, the business of life can easily choke out time for expressing love. If you’re like me, your upbringing may not have equipped you with a vast vocabulary of tender words, and written tender words may come more easily than those that are spoken. With practice, I’ve found that the scope of tender expressions naturally includes references to offshoots of love such as trust, encouragement, gratitude, faith, commitment, kindness, affection, protection, and definitely to the source of all love, our Heavenly Father. The notes herein cycle around to all of these, composed most often as an overflow out of prayer and scripture reading early in the day. Daybreak is a fitting time to reaffirm love. As dramatic as it sounds, we never know what each day holds nor which day may be our last. In this compilation, there are enough notes for five days a week, 52 weeks of the year to prompt the caring habit and to inspire other men who might like to do the same for their wives.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Randy Vern Shepherd was born in Michigan, USA into a hard working family. By the age of ten, he was working farms, driving tractors and trucks, bailing hay, and stacking bricks. When he wasn't out in the country woods exploring, he was enjoying every kind of sport with a particular passion for football. Randy's adventuresome spirit took him away from his hometown into 10 different states throughout his Military career in the Air Force as a Major and Registered Nurse. His thirst for learning motivated him to acquire a Master's degree and two Bachelor's degrees while his career path led to 10 years of service with the Veterans Administration. During this time, he encountered the life stories of many men. He has seen souls both contented and hurting, often filled with regrets. The greatest regrets were seen in failure to experience real love. Randy believes genuine, unconditional love first comes from our Heavenly Father where it's imparted into those who will receive it. The author found his life-love and God's gift, in his wife, Barbette. Heartburst Morning Notes are natural out-spillings of spiritual stirrings in Randy. The message behind this compilation of notes is that we need to cherish love at all costs, never letting a day go by without expressing it.
