Synopsis

Science has proven that combining evidence-based holistic treatments with conventional medical treatments gives greater results against cancer than either method alone. Holistic Chemotherapy educates readers on how to combine evidence-based holistic methods with their chemotherapy, improve their quality of life, reduce the severity of side effects, boost the cancer-killing performance of the treatments, and how to identify the differences between unfit, poorly educated practitioners vs. properly educated, ethical practitioners. Throughout the book all source information is cited with footnotes for those who wish to examine the research for themselves.

About the Author

Tami Dickerson, M.H. is a graduate from the Natural Healing College where she earned her diploma as a Master Herbalist and her certificates in Family Herbalism and Foundations in Holistic Science. Prior to her studies she spent fourteen years as a direct-care worker in hospitals and nursing homes taking care of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. In her own words "When I look back to that time I realize that the patients who really struck a chord with me were those who were diagnosed with cancer. I witnessed how cancer can strike anyone regardless of class, race, age, religion, lifestyle or gender. I felt powerless because I didn't have a clue on how to help them beyond the training I had at that time. As a result, after I finished my college courses I decided that I wanted to help cancer patients achieve better odds against the disease." Tami Dickerson, M.H. strives to make a difference by educating patients on how to find ethical holistic practitioners and teaching patients what they can do for themselves to enhance the cancer-killing action of conventional treatment plans.
