About the Author

While working as an Addiction Program Director in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Paul Beshara began searching for something that would open him energetically to alternative methods of health and well-being. The wonderful flow of Reiki accomplished that for him, and he became a Reiki practitioner in 1993. He later went on to become a Reiki Master in 1998. Upon furthering his studies in Shiatsu, and Orthotherapy, he left the addictions field in 2000 and opened his own holistic therapy clinic in Winchester, Ontario. Paul also received certification as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Acu-Hyno Practitioner, Certified Hypnotist, and as a Certified Neuro-linguistic Programming Practitioner. During these years of holistic practice, he began to combine his understanding of the Meridian System and his Reiki practice and found that he was experiencing significant results. In 2012, Paul closed his clinic and moved on to become the publisher of Natural Presence Magazine, an Eastern Ontario magazine dedicated to mind, body, and soul. Now, at the glorious age of 70 and retired, Paul has made the decision to share his perspective on the complementary modalities of Reiki and the Meridian System.
